Can You Stay at the White Lotus Hotel in Thailand?

Yes. It is the Four Seasons Koh Samui, and the entry villa ran about $1,363 a night on its own site in 2025. How non-guests get in, and the other hotels.

Updated October 2026

Yes. The White Lotus of season three is a real hotel, it is open, and you can book a night there.

A hillside pool villa above a quiet bay on Koh Samui, the kind of villa the White Lotus resort scenes were shot in
The villas on screen are real guest villas. What a night costs is the question this page answers with dated figures, not a guess.

It is the Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, on Laem Yai Bay at the north-west tip of the island. It opened in 2007 in an old coconut plantation and has 60 pool villas plus 11 private residences. The pool, the beach, the restaurant, the gym with its boxing ring and the spirit house you saw on screen are all here.

Is the White Lotus Thailand a real hotel?

It is, and more of it is real than you might expect. The villas on screen are actual guest villas, not a studio set. The Ratliff family’s multi-bedroom residence, the villa the three old friends share, and Rick and Chelsea’s room were all filmed in rooms at this hotel, according to the location guides and Condé Nast Traveler, which reported that filming moved between rooms while the cast lived on the property. Which villa category played which character is not on record.

The hotel was shot in February and March 2024. For those weeks it took no outside bookings at all. The general manager told Vogue it was full, every room, with cast and crew.

One trap in the address. Booking sites file the hotel under “Ang Thong, Ko Samui”. That is the name of the Samui subdistrict it sits in. It has nothing to do with Ang Thong Marine Park, the island group about 20 km out to sea, which is a different place entirely.

How much does it cost to stay at the White Lotus in Thailand?

We could not read the hotel’s booking engine, so there is no rate on this page that we would call current. What exists are press figures taken from the hotel’s own website, with their dates:

  • Business Insider, February 2025: three nights in May 2025 in a one-bedroom Serenity Pool Villa averaged about $1,363 a night. A four-bedroom residence came to about $7,866. The same search a year before gave $1,281 and $7,746.
  • ABC’s Good Morning America, February to March 2025: villas at $1,827 to $2,500 a night on average, residences from $5,429.

So the entry villa ran to four figures in US dollars a night on the hotel’s own site in 2025, and the residences ran several times that. Thai hotels then add a 10% service charge and 7% VAT on top of the room rate. A Samui travel guide also lists a small nightly coral reef conservation fee, an amount we have not been able to check. Put your own dates into the hotel’s site and read the total there.

We found no published minimum stay, and we are not going to guess one.

How do you get in without staying?

By booking something to eat or drink. The hotel’s dining page lists KOH Thai Kitchen, KOH Bar, Pla Pla (seafood and grill by the water), CoCoRum (the beach and pool bar) and The Vault.

Outside diners do get in. A guest’s review complains that staff warned of “outside guests coming in”, and a Vogue writer met people at the bar who had driven 45 minutes to be there. How strict the reservation policy is, we could not confirm; the practical route is to call the concierge first, on +66 77 243-000, the number the hotel’s own KOH page gives.

Snippets of the hotel’s site have shown two priced evenings: a CoCoRum experience at THB 1,500 a person plus tax and service, and a KOH dinner experience at THB 4,400 a person with a welcome drink, 19:00 to 22:00. Both are real offers the hotel published. Whether they still run at those prices, check before you go.

There is also talk of a day pass. A third-party Samui site, undated, gives THB 5,000 per adult plus 17.7%, THB 2,500 for children aged four to eleven, from 10:30 to 18:00, covering the pool, the beach and non-motorised watersports, with no food or drink included and sunbeds first come, first served. We did not find the hotel’s own day-pass page, so treat this as unconfirmed until the concierge says yes.

What you cannot do is walk in for a look around, or see inside a villa without booking one. The villas you saw are the real guest villas, so a reservation is the only way in.

The other White Lotus hotels you can book

The resort on screen is a composite, and three of the other pieces are hotels anyone can book.

Anantara Bophut Koh Samui, a Bill Bensley design on the north coast, about a 25-minute drive east of the Four Seasons. It supplied the White Lotus lobby, the driveway and entrance, the security post, the staff car park and the jewellery shop. If the arrival and the shop are the scenes you remember, this is where they are.

Anantara Lawana Koh Samui, in Chaweng. Its Singing Bird Lounge played the bar. How much it appears depends on who you ask: the owner’s own blog says it was not used for major scenes and shows up in episode one, while AFAR describes several bar and restaurant scenes. The lounge now serves cocktails named after Mook and Gaitok.

Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok. The hotel’s own press release calls it the only hotel in Bangkok chosen for filming. The lobby, the Bamboo Bar (which keeps its real name in the show) and a guest room were used, and the Oriental Suite served as a base for the crew.

On Phuket, a flight away rather than a day trip, Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas was Belinda’s wellness centre, and the owner says she stayed in its Lotus Villa, which is bookable. Rosewood Phuket’s Ta Khai restaurant supplied dinner scenes. The full map of filming locations sets out the rest, including the places people swear they saw that the show never used.

The owner of the three Anantaras, Minor International, told Skift its web traffic to those hotels rose 104% year on year and direct online bookings 41% in February 2025, while the season was airing.

Does the hotel still market the show?

Less than it did. In February 2025 Four Seasons announced a “global partnership” with HBO and sold a 2026 private-jet wellness itinerary that included three nights at Koh Samui and Muay Thai in the hotel’s boxing ring in the hills. We found no Samui-only White Lotus package beyond that.

The partnership is now over. Season four moved to France, to the Hôtel Martinez in Cannes and the Airelles Château de la Messardière, and Skift reported in April 2026 that Four Seasons is out. The hotel still sells its own boat trip to Ang Thong Marine Park and an overnight on its boat in the park; we could not see the price.

What that boat day shows, and what it does not, is its own page. If you are still choosing an island, Phuket or Koh Samui splits the show’s locations between the two.
