Ziplining on Koh Samui: The Tree Bridge Course and the Rest
The Tree Bridge zipline: 8 cables over 1,200 m of jungle near Tan Rua waterfall, 2 hours on the course, from $54. Who can go, which hotels get free pickup.
The zipline most people book on Koh Samui is the Tree Bridge course in the jungle above the Tan Rua waterfall. It is eight cables strung over about 1,200 metres of rainforest, with a suspension bridge at the end leading to a café built 20 metres up a tree. You spend about two hours on the course and four hours door to door.

It is a good half day for anyone from eight years old who is happy with heights. Check two things before booking: where your hotel is, and the rules on age, height and weight.

The Tree Bridge course
The listing we would book is Oh-Hoo’s, from $54 with 3,135 reviews at 4.8. After pickup you get a welcome drink, your harness and a safety briefing, then work through the eight cables, each between 40 and 70 metres long, with some abseiling and sky-bridge sections between platforms. Guides go round with you. At the end you cross to the Tree Bridge Café for a drink with a view of the sea.
Reviewers mostly talk about the staff and the views. “You do about 8 zip lines in total plus a drink included at the lovely cafe,” one wrote in September.
Pickup: check your area first
Hotel transfers are included from Maenam, Bophut, Chaweng and Choeng Mon. From Lamai or Maret the round trip costs 1,400 baht extra per car, and from Taling Ngam or anywhere else 1,800 baht. There is no pickup from hotels up in the hills.
A second listing for the same Tree Bridge site, from VK Star Tour, is also $54 (4.8 over 1,518 reviews) and offers guides in seven languages. Its extra transfer charge outside its zones is 1,500 baht a car.
Who can go
The operator’s own rules: no children under 8 or under 120 cm, nobody over 120 kg or over 60, and not for pregnant women, people with back problems or anyone afraid of heights. Children aged 9 to 11, or under 130 cm, pay the child price, and you may be asked for proof. Wear trainers; sandals are not allowed.
Is it worth it?
If you like heights and are staying in one of the free-pickup areas, yes: it is a well-run half day with a good view at the end. It is less of a deal from Lamai or the west coast once the transfer is added, and a non-starter for anyone outside the age and weight rules.
Other courses
The other name you will see is Hawk Adventure, which bills itself as the longest zipline park on Samui: from about $53 without transfer, or $65 with it, on listings with few reviews so far. Another park sold as “the biggest and longest” on the island has 244 reviews at $56. Both are bigger than Tree Bridge: Hawk’s courses run 2,000 or 5,000 metres by its own listing, and the other park has 14 or 20 lines against Tree Bridge’s eight. On reviews, Tree Bridge is the safer first booking.

Questions people ask
How much is ziplining on Koh Samui?
From about $54 a person for the Tree Bridge course, with the transfer included from the main beach areas; Hawk Adventure starts at about $53 without transfer and $65 with it. Add 1,400 to 1,800 baht a car for pickup from outside the free zones.
What is the biggest and longest zipline park on Koh Samui?
Two parks claim it: Hawk Adventure bills itself as the longest on the island, and another listing calls its park “the biggest and longest”. Tree Bridge, the most booked, is the shorter course, with eight cables over about 1,200 metres.
Who should not do the zipline?
By Tree Bridge’s own rules: children under 8 or under 120 cm, anyone over 120 kg or over 60, pregnant women, people with back problems and anyone afraid of heights.
The zipline pairs well with a jungle safari day for a family that wants the island’s interior, and how many days in Koh Samui has a full week planned.
